Harley Factory Museum Offers An Exciting Array Of Venues

What better way to celebrate our motorcycle heritage than offering school tours in the Harley Museum for children. School field trips to the Harley Museum is a great learning experience for our kids, they will tour the facility and learn all about motor concepts and how gears work. How motors drive motorcycles forward and will explore conductivity by touching different materials in the Tool Box presentation.

True Evel is The Amazing Story Of Evel Knieval from biplane walker to jumping motorcycles, you will learn all about this legendary stuntman and his life of dangerous stunts and jumps. Evel Knieval was sponsored by Harley during most of the 1970's.

Visit the Experience Gallery

This is a big hit for kids as well as adults, lots of things to see and learn with hands on displays and fun stuff to do. Filled with a variety of different Harley motorcycles, you get to sit and feel all these bikes and really get a feel for what it was like to ride these legendary motorcycles.

Clubs and Competition Gallery

Here the theme is all about competition, this exhibit gives you the feel of what it was like to race and compete on a Harley motorcycle. Hill climbing, flat track, sometimes without brakes, this is a very exciting place to experience.

Design Lab

This exhibit is inside glass walls showing where it all started. From hand written books to compter designs, you will better understand what it takes from idea to final design. from old to new, this will give you a better understanding of what it takes to create a winning motorcycle that looks and rides as good as it looks on paper.

Engine Room

this is a fun part of the tour, you get to see and learn all about various Harley engine designs over the years of the Harley engine. how it began and how it has evolved into todays legendary engines. You will see drawings that started on paper and were brought to life and to market.

Motorcycle Gallery

Just one more reason to visit on your museum tour, check out all the motorcycles streching out three wide and 180 feet long. It's great top be able to see all the different models and the evolution to modern day models and styles compared to years ago.

Here's the spot the girls have to visit, here you will learn about how Harley motorcycles created excitement among women riders here in the US and abroad. Some of the very first women riders started on Harleys and since the 1980's has really boomed all over the world.

Harley Motorcycles and the Military

Since the beginning of the company, Harley has been a part of our active military. Starting as far back as 1916 and throught world war II. There are many veteran stories of how they were able to use the motorcycles ability to be able to cross terrain that a jeep or armored vehicle was unable to pass. The first call of military duty was back in the US Mexican border conflict of 1916.

Of course there are hundreds of popular stories, especially in the huge role they played during World War II. They were very effective and agile when used for courier and dispatch assignments as well as behind enemy lines where getting away fast and crossing rough terrain was part of the mission.
