DISAPPOINTED!!

I installed these on our new '12 wing, and although they look nice, they weren't an easy install. I had to grind down a "flat spot" using my Dremel tool, because if you read the many other customer's reviews; with the way these are designed, you just can't tighten them enough, (small allen screw holds in place to keep from moving around.) They obviously forgot ALOT of weight & pressure is applied to these boards, so they should be made NOT to move, at all. Because if they come loose on the road - that can be DANGEROUS! (IMHO - It's a REALLY POOR DESIGN)

So to prevent that from happening, I ground down a spot on the mount - so the supplied allen screw had somewhere to "lock into", and keep the boards from coming loose. I also have big feet, (size 13 shoes) so I had to mount these at a weird angle to allow my toes under the shifter. They are not "Height Adjustable", which is REALLY disappointing!

Overall, they are nicer than the stock pegs, but I doubt I would buy again. I was really disappointed!!! Ride Safe!

I put these on 2 weeks ago, haven't road much since, but I think I'll like them. Like everyone says the mounting design sucks, they are design to be mounted at an angle. What I did was put them on the angle I wanted, took the mount to the grinder and made a flat spot, then drilled a spot for the set screw with my drill press. I think this how they should have been made

These look and feel great, but the set-screw in them is deisgned to keep the Clevis to be perpendicular to the plane of the board... which is fine if you mount them as highwayboards, but as you can see from the photo, the clevis is at a 30-40 degree angle.

Only 4 Stars because of the poor engineering of the set screw. When mounted as pegs, these boards tend to loosen unless you REALLY overtighten the bolt holding the board to the clevis.

I'm happy with them, though, and have gone through a couple of sets, since I tend to scrape my pegs a lot and wear them out.

Looks great on my Wing. Comfortable riding and easy shift and footbrake access. Should have bought them right away.

Looks great at first but the chrome started to pit after 1 year. They are 2 years old now and look really bad , this to much money for 2 year boards. Bike located in tenn. Not on the coast and constantly maintained. Also purchased luggage rack and chrome is starting pit and I will be replacing it.

Revamping my earlier review.

After a few hundred miles or so, the floorboards become loose and "wiggle" back and forth .. making riding with them uncomforatable, not to mention somewhat dangerous.

Even after using some lock tite, the boards still wiggled back and forth.

I took them off and am back on the stock pegs .. much more comfortable riding with these.

Nice try Kuryakyn, but I would let these wait until further testing can be done.

Just put them on and took Apollonia out for a test ride .. FEEL GREAT! Way better that stock.
You can put them on it different directions according to what you like.

Easy install ..

Add some lock-tite to the screw so they won't move is a good idea.

Much better than stock pegs. Good platform for the feet, very comfortable. You can install them facing either way but one way I didnt seem to have enough room to work the shifter or brake I had to switch them around. One other draw back is they will not tilt far enough up, so if your bike happens to fall over it will damage the mounts as did mine. Install was super easy and quick
