F-4 Windshields

At riding for 40 years the !800 Goldwing has been the best forever My 2005 is also.
I like this item it has been better than any windshield i have ever had. The one thing though is that it looks like it has spots like broken if i can say, when the sun is up high it has a glair all of the time. i have used good cleaners but it is not on the out side of the shield. Any body have any ides about how to get the glair out of my Windshield?

Great windshield

I bought it along with the Kuryakyn Rear Passenger Wind Deflector (WingStuff Item #:KU1384) in hopes of cutting down on the wind buffeting my wife was experiencing (and complaining about) and it did the job as advertised.
The only downside comment I will offer concerns the flexing of the windshield especially at highway speeds. The flexing which is probably due to the larger area of the F4 vs. the OEM windshield and is a little annoying at first. However, I will say that after 10 or 15 minutes I automatically tend to ignore the flexing and it no longer bothers me. Did have to move my Contour sports camera from behind the screen because of the flexing which the camera does not forget. Regardless I will still give this product 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone who wants to significantly cut down on the wind hitting them and their passenger.

Best Windshield - F4

So my real good friend JD at JD LED Lighting installed one of these in place of my Tulsa Tall. Wow, awesome product. No more worrying about hitting my helmet/face shield while getting on my GoldWing, like the Tulsa Tall. Very easy to install and very easy to clean.

Good. Not Perfect.

I've had my F4 for over two years. It has some minor pitting and scratches, better than my OEM lexan, but I was hoping it be more pit/scratch resistent than it is - I mean it's not like I've been riding it through a Sahara dust storm in the Temple of Doom or anything. It has held up well to various cleaning solutions and rags that occasionally have to be resorted to when the situation requires it. My biggest complaint would be that the location of the vent hole on their OEM replacement: it is not located in the same place as your stock OEM lexan! Yes, the top of the F4 cutout is 11" from the top while Honda's OEM is 10" That means if you try to put the windshield in the lowest position, your vent will come in contact and be resting on your padded dash. Not good. Riding like that will definitely wear through the leather/vinyl over time. Perhaps they've addressed that problem since I bought mine but if you like to look over like I do and keep your shield in the lowest notch you're not going to be happy. Since I got mine I ride mostly in notch two to spare the dash.

Wingstuff customer service 5 stars

My windshield (-2) just arrived and I will comment on that in a later update when temps get above freezing. I wanted to comment on the customer service of Wingstuff. I had ordered my windshield about 2 weeks ago and with my typical luck as soon as it arrived I was browsing through the website and seen they were selling it for 10% off. I figured what the heck and contacted them. Since I had literally just ordered the same thing a week or two prior and was hoping I could still qualify for the discount. That same day Rodney had emailed me back saying that they would gladly refund the difference and credit the money back to my account, which they had done the same day. Yes I know this is only $30 difference but it is more the point that they were willing to honor the sale, even though they could have just as easily said NO and been done with it. I just think this speaks volumes of wingstuff and the staff taking care of us the customers and wanted to give credit where credit is due.
Again thank you Wingstuff for the superb customer service that you have shown me over the last few years. It is the small things like this that keep people

I Can See Clearly Now...!

Had the bike at the dealer for some general maintenance and they installed the F4 Custom (4") shield for me in around 45 minutes. This was two rainstorms, a windstorm, and 5,000 miles ago (three weeks in real time - literally).

What an amazing difference this shield makes for the passenger as well as the rider. I can actually see through the shield without hindrance and have significantly improved vision for night riding (which I do A LOT of).

The rain rolls off as advertised, and the F4 custom cleaner is worth every penny.

Be aware, this will affect handling in high winds slightly and the bike has a different feel to it than with the OEM shield in place - even at its highest point. Additionally, this shield, while wider than the OEM, has a little more curvature to it and rain drops now catch the wind between the edge and the mirrors and blow back at your legs rather than catching the slipstream and blowing past your legs as with the OEM. Not an issue if you are wearing rain gear... just a little more water on the tank and saddle than before.

5 stars all the way. I am thrilled to be running this F4 shield and highly recommend it (particularly the vented one).

Purchased the plus4.
Windshield is very clear optically. East to install only took 50 min.. Mostly removal of the Honda tape took the longest of the time. Take your time installing the tape with the kit supplied. The taping job will be seen when done. Cleans very easy but only had it for 3 months. Copilot said helmet buffeting greatly reduced. And the mic notice has reduced as well. Will update in a year or so.
