I am very happy with this drink holder. I still have plenty of room for everything and the drink last a long time. They also sent me to different type of lids and they both fit, they are just a tad bit different. I do recommend to get this
I installed the 34 oz size cup holder on my 2006 GL1800 and had it done in 25 minutes. After the first ride I felt it was too far toward the rider so I reversed the swivel bracket and mounted it on the side closer to the windshield. Perfect fit and now I have more room to move and get to the bike controls. The 34 oz size is just right for my thirst and I don't know why you would want a smaller one. Love the extra lid for coffee and exotic drinks, (non-alcoholic only), I've been on the wagon since 1987. Great product and I would recommend it for any bike.
I love this thing. I am the type of guy that always has something to drink close by. I buy cars based on the cup holder design. This is a great design and it looks great as well. The black blends in with the handle bar and dash very well.
i had this on my old gl1500 with showchrome arm rest but on my new 2012 i put on thr kury arm rest and of course no go no room to mount so i ordered the add on accy flag / light mount #AO998138 and with a little trimming to rubber spacer i t works and looks great using just the star nut and the cup holder from the old kit didnt use other brackets and a longer 1/4 " bolt and flat washer of course a little more caution is now required to open trunk so i dont push it thru the speaker
My review on 3/23/12 has been corrected by the manufacture (Glass Act). They are sending the bracket. They got back with me on the 25th(Sunday at that).Rodney with Wingstuff called me at home Monday morning to correct the problem. Thanks to both parties. The mug is of heavy quality. They may not be the flashie chrome, but are great.
I used this for a summer trip across the desert, yeah, not the best planning but anyway I had plenty of fluid. Plenty of room for ice and whatever you want to sip. It was easy to install and, I can swing it out of the way when I don't need it. The dust cover on the straw is great for keeping "extra vitamins" off of your straw. Easy to pick up and replace in holder with gloves on. I've used it for both hot and cold drinks and temps were maintained for a reasonable amout of time.
I decided on the 20oz Butler cup for the driver position and I am glad I did! The cup looks large on the Wing's handlebar and I can't imagine having an even larger one up there. 20oz is a lot of liquid and I find that after consumption I have reason to take a (potty) break and the oportunity to refill cup as needed. With a 34oz cup I believe I would need an overflow tube.
BTW installation was easy following the pics in the included directions.
I ordered the 34 oz cup! And boy is it big!! You can fill this thing up and drink for hours at a time. Install was very easy and instruction were right on. It is very well made and seems like it will last for years on end. The cup is big but does not interfere with anything on the bike. And seems like it will be very stable in the holder. Great buy!
When riding out West, to Florida or in the Smokey Mountains, my 32oz Butler Cup is a very handy item for the long trips. I find it will last for 3-4 hrs. I fill it with ice only, as it melts, I am provided with cold water. At fuel stops or lunch break, I refill the same way. I also carry bottles water, if needed. I bought my Butler Cup 4 yrs ago, NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
