Isolated Trailer Wire Harness

I installed this on my bike last year. Followed the instructions and it was easy as pie. Hooked up the trailer and tested and everything worked fine. Did have one problem though after a trip for some reason the fuse blew not sure if the trailer connectors got wet or not. Will update after next trip.

As of right now, this Item is crap...plug but no play. Pulgs are easy to match....2 wire blue to 2 wire blue, 3 wire blue to 3 wire blue, 3 wire red to 3 wire red. Just that easy except everytime I plug in the red plugs I blow a 20 amp fuse for tail lights and dash gauges. So my guess is it may be defective.

This is a quick and easy install. This fits easily in the well behind the fender behind the license plate which is where it plugs in. This outputs to a 5 wire configuration so if you need a four wire feed to your trailer you need to get one of the converters too. I was able to get both pieces to fit nicely on the little shelf behind the rear fender.

Did not work for me. I had to eventually get a proffesional from the Honda Shop to try to install this. He said I was having problems because the thing was bad from the get go. We ended up throwing it away and I spent a little more money and got a Kuryokin. It worked fantastic. When I compared this one to the Kuryakin the difference was night and day. This one was light weight and cheap looking compared to the Kuryakin which was much more heavier duty. You get what you pay for.

Easy installation. I tucked the connectors in the space in the upper left. I covered them with plastic baggies and tape.
I used a 6 pin connector because I tow my motorcycle trailer with my car. The tough nut was attaching the "bracket" side of the connector (pin-side) to something. I finally had to make a bracket that was bent over the hitch brace, which I secured with several tie wraps (not bolts) due to space limits. The connector bracket vertically bolts to the brace-bracket, which makes it easy to insert the male part of the connector. Plus the socket cover drops down and back toward the tire, protecting the socket from highway dirt.
Hope this makes sense and helps.
