Doran 360Mâ„¢ Tire Pressure Monitoring System for Motorcy...

I suggest to Doran that it included an accelerometer chip, now common and cheap, in the sensor circuit to keep the transmitter stopped when the bike is moveless and back to transmit again when in motion. This would increase the sensor battery life. Depending on the accelerometer sensitivity adjustment also would not be broadcast during the period of product storage and transportation

The 3 stars is not for Wingstuff it is for Doran. I bought this unit and after putting on it would not find the back tire sensor. Doran did replace sensor and said if I continued to have problems they would replace. After calling them numerous times and getting the run around I called Wingstuff which I would give 5 stars because they replaced with no questions. Thanks Wingstuff you solved my problem.

Well oldman your right, the sensor is $25.00 but was on their website for $50.00 last month, now it is not on their site at all you must call and order ( had a change of heart ). Your also right about the customer service has always been helpful and polite. Giving the 5 start since they had a change of heart and dropped the price back down to $25.00. Altho none of my 4 orginal sensors lasted more that 18 months I can live with that cost. As I always stated from day 1 the systed works great and I feel it is the best system out there. Thanks Doran for the lower sensor price.

The price for replacement sensors is NOT $50, it is $25. I know because I called them justa few minutes ago. When the batteries die you call Doran and they will sell you the replacements for $25.00, not the price listed on their web page. As for email, I sent one to them months ago and have yet to receive a response. They are quick to answer the phone though and are very helpful.

3 years ago I gave this 5 stars. Now I give 2 because of the cost of replacing the sensors have just DOUBLED. Doran claims 3 to 4 years of life. More like 1 1/2 to 2 years. I have a set in the box that I purchased with the set I am using. At the time I purchased these they did not have a system for trailers so I thought about putting a system on just for my trailer, mounting the display in the trunk and using the red light as a warning by the dash. I never installed the 2nd set. Sitting in the box they did not last 3 years. I went to use one of the sensors from the spare set, and it was dead. At $25.00 to replace the sensor I felt I could afford that cost every 2 years, but $50.00 per sensor?. Doran DOUBLED the cost of the sensors, so if you have a trailer your looking at $200.00 every 2 years just to keep the TPM working. I wrote Doran asking for a explanation why the sensors doubled in price, did they do some huge changes to them, do they now really last 4 years, or did they just double the price?. No answer in the past 2 weeks. This is still the best system I found, it has just become very expensive to maintain. If money is no concern than this is a five star unit. I just can not believe it costs $50.00 ( or any where near) to make these sensors when just a few months ago they were $25.00.
