Entry level Headsets

These are not bad but not great. I have had a set for two years. The wind can be an issue where I live (lots of noise). I would invest in an upgraded set with Mic mutes for the passenger. For a beginner set I would buy again, very cheap on the pocket book.

follow up review on headsets

So the price is good, install a snap, delivery outstanding, but quality, well a bit dissapointing. A lot of wind noise. At low speeds we are fine, but as soon as we get to 40 MPH the wind noise is significant. I just tried turning down the intercom sensitivity on our goldwing and we will see if that effects it. We are about to get 12 to 15" of snow here in Denver so we may not be riding for a while--sucks!

Excellent customer service

There should some extra stars to be added to the 5 stars I am giving. After placing my first big order with WingStuff, I was a bit skeptical in what to expect, me being in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and with all the problems you normally expect from online ordering. All my goods that was ordered was promptly shipped to me with online tracking of each and every stop along the way. After receiving my goods, I noticed that they supplied the wrong type of headsets. I ordered 2 x full face sets and the open face sets was send by mistake. After sending an email, informing them of the mistake, I did not actually expect any communication as I am a small fish in their pond. However, withing 24 hours, I received an apology from them and also informing that my new correct headsets was forwarded to me at no extra cost. They also notify me that WingStuff will pay all the shipment, customs cost, etc. I will gladly recommend their products to anyone and can ensure them of the peace of mind when ordering online from them. Everything went extremely smooth, including the quality goods they supplied. Well done guys. You rock. My new Goldwing 1800 is proud to have all the bling bling I have ordered for her. Once again, thank you very much for such outstanding service. Deon van Tonder, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. (PS. we live in Africa but the animals is still in the wild)

Bought this for my daughter's helmet. Should have spent the extra for the 279 series. Lot's of wind noise from the mic. Works great at low speeds!

5 stars for the ease of installation (10 minutes on a Vega helmetthat has ear speaker pockets built in) and the sound quality to the audio system when sitting in the garage. We need to buy one more now that the wife has decided to stick with her 3/4 helmet. So we will report back on the intercom quality after we get to try them both together.

Have had a set of these for a while and wanted to update. Glad to see that J&M still make a quality product for a reasonable price.

I'm giving this product 3 stars. It has some good points and some bad. First the good - the sound is very good and the cord plugs in the bike much easier than the old P-style cord. Now for the bad - the speakers are big, there is no other way to put it. I have a GMAX67 helmet and I had to do major surgery to install the headset. The mike is also big. I have another J&M headset for a half helmet and the mike on the 8154B is twice as big. With the wind cover on it's almost as big as a chicken leg.

I bought 2 for my open and full faced HJC helmets. Both installations were a real challenge. The open faced to install the speakers and the full faced to install the mic. They do work well with good sound transmission.

Not the best headset on the market, but the best value for what you pay. The audio quality is good for the intercom and the radio, not so good for the MP3 player. Buy the open face model if you are going to fit it in a modular helmet. A Dremel 90 degree tool worked perfectly for fitting the ear pieces.
