Bag is very well made. I've had mine so long it's almost white. I keep my cleaning supplies in it. It secures great and never had it leak. I just scotchguard it once a year.
I give this Kuryakyn Convertible luggage bag 5 stars. My wife and I went to the 2011 Tomahawk MDA Ride in Wisconsin. We each packed 4 t-shirts, a pair of jeans and 4 days of under clothes. Plus we had the wife's cosmedic bag packed all so. we had plenty of room for all our stuff in this bag. The out side handle is nice to carry this in to a hotel. We had to ride in the rain and every thing stayed nice and dry. LOTS OF ROOM. Well worth the money.
Just took a weekend away with the wife and this bag was tops! Yes, it held my change of clothes (underwear, 2 socks, 2 shirts) plus all my wife’s items- yes all of the wife’s items! The bag was like a black hole as she kept stuffing items into it and it did not seem to get completely filled! It’s easy accessibility was tops for changes along the way (“Ooo, I think I need these shoes for walking now, Oh I need that top because it might get cold”, etc, etc,) . Fits great and looks great. Also I have two flags on the luggage rack that are attached to the sides. The big does not interfere with them.
If you have the Kuryakyn luggage rack, this is a must have. The wife and I used this many times this riding season. We have used it to carry many different things, on different rides. Have not had anything get wet inside. Easy to attach and remove from bike. Also easy to carry (carry handle between front pockets).
Used this bag for a long weekend trip with my wife. Gave this bag to her and told her she could take whatever she could fit into the bag...Not a complaint out of her regarding space. Easy to put on the bike and just as easy to take off. Finally something that doesn't break the bank and is practical.
This is a replacment bag that Wingstuff offered me after the Wingstuff version of this bag had stitching issues. The Kurakyn bag is not as roomy as the Wingstuff bag but it has heavier duty materials. I miss the enclosed rear pocket the Wingstuff top bag had and the attachment system is very different betwen the two. The Wingstuff top bag is decidedly more difficult to apply and remove but is very secure with large velcro bands running front to rear and side to side. The Kuryakyn is held in place by two velcro strips at the front and a bungy style cord that exist from an open bottom in the bag. This presents an opportunity for moisture to get into the Kuryakyn bag during very heavy downpours. Since the top bag usually only has my rain gear and other lightweight items like my cover this isn't an issue for me. The Wingstuff bag is sealed all the way around. Since both come standard with an all weather cover your stuff will stay dry in most cases anyway. The Kuryakyn bag has definantly been easier to put on and take off with it's attachement system. After hitting some horrendous roads in New York City that were bad enough to blow my left fork seals this bag stayed put. That sold me on it's attachemnt systems. It's still a toss up in my mind as to which bag is better. Had the Wingstuff bag stitching not come loose in less than one year I would not have been looking for a replacment. Hope this review helps.
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
