Stainless GL1800 Belly Pan

Just installed belly pan with no problems. Entire process took 20 minutes as one of the acorn nuts gave some grief when re-installed on the bike. Experienced no problems with the metal in that I experienced no cuts on the hands even though I did not wear gloves. Would recommend this product to all.

Caution....

The stainless steel is harder than the threads of the muffler cover studs. Now I'll have to run a die over the stud to straighten our the threads, or pull the stud and replace it. Other models have open slots, which would be an easier fit and remove much of the potential damage to the studs.

Must Have

After 19,000 miles I can see where this has saved damage to the bike. I have not noticed any performance issues at all. It has not changed the cooling of the bike as some have mentioned. I cut a small rubber hose down the middle and placed it on the front piece of the pan. This gives it a tighter fit and takes away any rattle.

An absolute no-brainer for the money

I bought mine when it was on special at under $40.

Fitted it in about 15 minutes and definitely watch for the sharp edges.

The front (detachable) part is not as snug as it could and has the potential to rattle so I modified it by putting some teflon tape on the inside at the bends where it may contact the engine under-side.

The more I buy stuff for my Wing the more I scratch my head as the simplicity of the accessories and wonder why Honda didn't include it as standard.

And finally, as alway - awesome service from Wingstuff
