Great cornering, smooth and less noise than Dunlop.

Bought my first set of Stones in October 2010 and after 11, 544 miles I need a new rear tire. I ran Metzler's for a few years but after two belt separations on the rear I lost faith in them and went looking elsewhere and decided to try a set of Stones. I got better mileage on the rear Metz ME880 (15,000 plus) and those tires stuck better than the Stones do but my faith in the Metz's, as stated above, went south after delaminating problems. The Stones get only four stars for one reason. Mileage! Having said that I am now shopping for a new rear Stone. As an all around tire, there's nothing out there any better in my humble opinion.

Put a new set of these on my 08 back in May and rode about 2K miles this season. Can't beat Stones for performance. Good grip when cornering in all conditions and very quiet. But wish I had gone with the 60 profile instead of the 70 for two reasons. 1) higher CG takes some time getting used to because bike sits up higher and 2) headlight is thrown off because rear sits up higher. Even after adjusting all the way with the headlight control the high beam is like my old low beam. Go with 60.

These tires have a much better grip than Dunlap especially in the rain. They grip better because they are probably softer which, of course, makes them wear out quicker. I got about 10,0000 miles on the back tire.
