Grip End Helmet Locks

Purchased a double set with matching keys and used only for a short period of time when I was unable to open one of the locks. Was at Walmart at the time and had to purchase allen wrench set to remove lock (helmet locked to handle bar) so I could return home. Contacted Kewlmetal in October 2011 about the lock and to get another set under their warranty. Unable to get a RMA authorization to return the defective units. Promised they would send another set to replace bad ones, but as of March 2012 I have not received any replacements. Have contacted company quite a few time and still not resolved. Do not buy this product.

After about 2 months they fell apart. Not worth the money.

Just bought these at Americade. Bought the double pack. Installed both, one doesn't work. Key won't open it.

I baught the first one by itself and after a few weeks of using it ,The key did not open this lock, and I had the allen wrench to remove the locking mechanism so at least I could use my helmet (Without being able to strap it.)I ended up having to break the lock open to get to use the helmet...I took this to be a slight fluke...and then purchased the two set..and after a month of using this set,I incured the very same thing, Key would not open the lock, Did the same thing to get to use the helmet again, and thought this to be strange...I took the other spare one off the other side and started using it ... Just yesterday this one did the same as the two others,,,KEY WOULD NOT OPEN IT,,,There I was stuck again and took the entire lock off and rode home not being able to strap the helmet as it was intended to be used. I am done trying to use this product,, I have three broken open locks that are a bunch of junk...Won't buy this product again...

Bought this for my wife's trike, and couldn't be happier. Installation is a snap and it gives the bats a nice finished look.
