just changing to my 3rd set after 19k miles out of the last ones.

Would have to be first choice every time. Have put a number of others on to these and we seem to be getting same mileage. Front can become skitterish in the wet but only when on last legs. have never had rear go out even in pouring rain with the pegs grounding.

39psi front and 45 psi rear. We have found this to be the best either 1 or 2 up on our harsh course chip roads. This was as per Avons instructions.

No cupping and no splitting evident either on inner or outer casing

update to previous reviews.
Soon to replace front tyre after approx 15k miles. Still has at least another 2k wear left.
Rear has done 10K Miles and less than half worn. Neither tyre shows any sign of cupping nor is there any noise.
Have put several others on to these. All are commenting as to huge difference in riding comfort and mileage over E3's.

Would not consider changing.

Terrible tires. Mine cracked at 3000 miles all around the circumference of the bead and tread. Total waste of money. Heard from another friend that on their ride a rider on a valk 1500 had a avon back tire disintegrate and left them stranded... A very noisy tire that cups within the first 1000 miles and useless in the rain...

Update to previous review.
Have just replaced the E3's with the avons.

Whilst i got good mileage from the dunlops (approx 15k miles) the noise got to a point that i couldnt take it any longer. Also rear tyre was out of round on one side only The ride was also very harsh.

The avons in my opinion are a far beter tyre. I contacted Avon direct in the uK and received a reply with 2 hours as to correct pressures. 45 rear and 39 front.

The ride is soft and you can feel the tyre absorbing the bumps.
handling is as good as if not better than the dunlops.

I fully recommend these to all 1500 owners.

These were on the bike when I purchased it and I was impressed especially when they were inflated to correct pressures. Stuck like glue and silent.

Changed to E111's when they were worn. At first I felt the dunlops were better but now have 9k Miles on them and the noise is getting worse. Also have wobble in rear, (tyre is out of round on left hand side only).

Will be going back to Avons in the near future
