The wife and I decided to shell out and get some good helmets so after reading countless reviews we settled in the Nolan N43 Trilogy. She likes hers and has had no issues with her helmet. I had a few. On a recent IBA Trans Canadian Gold ride this past summer the internal topgun visor got stuck and would not come down. When I finally had a chance to work on the helmet it appears some small gravel pieces got lodged in between the visor and helmet inside and lodged it in the up position. When I finaly lowered the visor the visor was scratched from the foriegn material. Nolan reps agreed to replace the visor free which was nice to hear. Like the first reviewer I found the chin guard too close to the mouth and had to take the foam piece off when the chin guard was on. on a positive note the helmet fits very good and I like the idea of coverting it to an open faced helmet very quickly. Face shield shows no distortion and gives me no buffeting when fully open. Great helmet in the cold and rain!

Went for a little ride today and really liked the helmet. I like the versatility. My only discontent is that the chin piece is a little close to my chin and hardley has room for the CB mic. I could probably take off the foam cover and be fine. The JM headset seemed to have great sound. All in all fairly pleased.

This helmet is top notch except for 1 major problem I had with it on a 2700 mi trip.
I have a head set installed & after the 1st hour of wearing the helmet the tops of my ears started to get irritated. They seemed to rub on the speaker units. The situation only got worse from that point.

I rode from NJ to lake George NY for the Americade event back to NJ & then to NC. (4 Day trip at this point :) )
When I got to NC I could not wait to get this helmet off.I took the speakers out & cut away as much of the foam that I could.
That seemed to help some but did not cure the problem.

I have larger ears than most people so that is why I have issues with this helmet.
Nolan did not provide sufficient cut out/ Ear room in this helmet (For me)

I wound up getting a Aria Classic from my brother for the ride back to NJ.
No more problems with the ears!! YEAH!!

Great helmet & great fetures like visor,removable chin guard & this helmet stays dry as a bone in even HEAVY rains.
Excellent helmet... if you don't have ears like me...
