These are awesome lights.
The 35 degree pattern is larger than the new PIAA LED 15 degree ones.
I had them mounted on my 1500, with a different bracket.
The supplied bracket for the 1800 will not fit the 2012 that I have now.
No luck so far getting the correct bracket from PIAA.

I gave these three stars due to the value for the money.
They were fairly easy to install. I wired the switch lead to the blue/black wire coming out of the high beame relay, that way I could leave the handlebar mounted switch on and control them with my high beam switch if I wanted to.
The supplied switch is a little hokey, it is just a push button switch with a peel off backing. I would have preferred something a little more substanial, but as it was, I stuck it to my clutch master cyl housing.
The quality overall is good, with very good fit and finish. The supplied brackets fit well... once I figured out the LH and RH labels were on the wrong brackets. (Correction: my wife figured it out as I sat there scratching my head)
The lights are a little more difficult to adjust that I had bargained for, partly because the lights were just so hot they were hard to handle, and partly because they just blended in with the standard hi-beams so well.
At the outset, I was a little disappointed in the performance. I was ready for more of a distinct difference in the distance that I could see down the road. As it was, the lights are a very good "fill in" for the existing hi-beams. Which isn't bad, but it's not what I was expecting. All in all, good performance, just not superior... let alone mind blowing.

These lights were a fairly easy install. They are great for lighting up the winding roads that I'm normally riding. I've only had the lights for a few weeks so can't comment on long term use or durability of them yet.

These PIAA lights were a relatively easy install. Instructions were clear and the mounting brackets are well designed. The installation kit provides plenty of wiring cable which allows you to easily route it through your bike. The lights tuck up out of the way which prevents any accidental touching of the hot surfaces. I did abandon the supplied switch and I control them with one of my brake reservoir mounted switches. I think it makes for a cleaner installation.

And what a great addition they are to nighttime riding. The amount of light they add to a dark unlit road is unbelievable.

I have those lights two years. One bulb is not working any more. After several tryings to get replacement bulb from Wingstuff or directly from PIAA factory I didn't get an answer. Think about buying this item!!!

ABSOLUTELY A MUST!!! These lights are the only reason that I saw and missed a deer that ran in front of me.

The mounting was easy, the functionality is superb, increases visibility 10 fold. They are very bright, the cages tend to move out of the lights path, up to par with PIAA's reputation. I will mount these on any bike that I ride!

I got these lights almost a year ago and there're great!!

Excellent lights easy to install and really brightens up the road. Minor difficulty in properly adjusting them though. Itis difficult to determine the centre of the beams - looks easy on paper.

These are the best lights I have ever installed on my GL1800 Gold Wing. They are super bright and compliment the look of my bike. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I had to replace the bulb after a year or so. I just felt the bulb should have lasted longer. The other side is still going strong. Would buy these again and recommend to anyone who wants really bright lighting. Thumbs Up! Frank
