I picked this up about a year ago but didn't want to drop a review until I road tested on several rides. This is probably the best comfort items I have added to the wing. Easily adjustable, easy install and lower back pain is gone on the long rides. No unsightly bars, clean look and matches the stock seat very well. A quality item.

Now I have tried it for long ride, I can tell this is one of the best buy I made, it relax the back, and the passenger as no bar in the way so less complain, no pain. Very comfortable, easy to install, and because it fold, easy for passenger to get off the bike

After the install, I can finally say this is a great addition to the 'Wing.

I found it quite difficult to cut through the layers of the seat's foam padding. I must have pulled the knife out 10 or more times trying to meet up with the drilled holes for the bracket. Each time second guessing myself and worrying what hidden damage I was doing. Luckily all seems well but I was not pleased with myself.

The support is amazing. This should have been my first or second accessory I put on the bike, it is that good! My wife feels the same way. It does not interfere with her getting on or off the bike and she loves the included pouch to hold her neccessities such as phone, lipstick, etc. (She took ownership of the pouch.)

This is a very nice backrest. Very comfortable and easely adjustable. Installation was easy.... but not fool-proof. The supplied bolts in my kit, had heads that were too tall - hitting the fuse box and thereby not allowing the seat to re-install in the original position. If you watch the installation video from the manufacturer; the bolts they use for the install are not the same as supplied in the kits(Ten demerits!).

I used a high speed grinder to remove the excess mateial from the bolt heads and Voila! When manufacturers try to save .20 cents; the customers wind up spending $20.00 to compensate for their fragality!

They aren't kidding when they say the Utopia Backrest will reduce back fatigue! This backrest is amazing. I can ride all day with this. It looks great as the stitching mirrors the seat. My wife likes the added comfort and security of feeling more secure in the seat and sitting "so far away from me". It folds down for easy co-rider getting on board. Like most other reviews, cutting into the seat was scary but after I watched the You Tube video a dozen times I did it and all went well. It does not interfere with the heated seats. Highly Recommend It!

This is a very nice backrest. Installation went well after the fear of cutting into the seat wore off. It took about an hour to install. I took a 50 mile on Easter Sunday and was really impressed with the comfort. It is easy to make forward & back adjustments while riding.

Installed today and rode about 50 miles. Pay particular attention to T bar placement when marking holes to drill in seat. I wish someone made a smaller back cushion and one that was ventilated.

just installed the utopia backrest on to my 2012 goldwing very easy install, adjustments are easy cant wait to use it.

I had a problem with my lower back hurting. The Utopia backrest gave me the support I needed. Install was easy after I got the nerve to cut the seat. This product is well worth the money.

Very easy install, Looks great, makes riding even more fun. I've installed these on Valk's and Harley's, and now GoldWing's. just follow the instructions and the fear of cutting a new seat is "no problem".
