This new software tool allows one to find all of the MP3/WMA songs on their hard drive and provides an easy method for organizing and loading the virtual CDs. I have owned this V3 player for 14 months. Still love it, but have found that it turns itself on while the bike is powered off and subsequently drains the battery. Checked this with a multimeter and the power drain while off is way over the recommended 5mAh. Wrote to the vendor with this problem but have not received a solution. I will probably just buy a new one. Frequency response and channel separation are superior!
Had it installed in minutes. It took longer to set up my SD card than it did to put the unit in the bike! Just a tip for everyone. If you have iTunes you will need to right click on each of your songs in the library and select properties to see if is a mp3 version of the song. If it is, just create 6 folders in the SD card file from the "computer" page where you locate the SD card and select. Be sure to name each folder as (all caps) CD1, CD2, CD3, CD4, CD5, and CD6. Then open the folders one at a time and fill with mp3 version songs by dragging and dropping or copying and pasting. Same result which ever you choose. Be sure to put at least one song in each folder as so none will be empty. You really don't need a program to set up your songs so save money! It's already there you just manipulate it the way I just told you... Just be sure all the songs in your folders are mp3 format. You can put 99 songs in each folder! That is a lot of riding music!!! I used a Sandisk 8GB SD card.
i purchased this unite and found the instalation to be vary simple ---quick and easy install i did buy the software i think for the $25 extra it saves a lot of time for thoes folks that are really good on the computer they would not need it but for me i figured the easy way was worth it and program does allow you to do some things with one click that would outher wise take time
My 2003 Wing came with the OEM Panasonic CD player. It worked fine but one day browsing my favorite online shop I saw this...hmmm...So I promptly sold my CD player for 3X more than the cost of this tiny player! It installed in 15 minutes and works like a charm! Tons of songs, plus now I have freed up space in my trunk where the CD player was housed for spare tools, etc. It takes up no space on the inside of the trunk. Frankly I could give up the radio and just keep this MP3 player! I didn't buy the software, it's plain simple to load the SD card up and ride away.
Very easy to install, and good integration with the Wing stereo controls, great sound.
But if you touch accidentally A.SEL button, will freeze all radio .
you have to stop the bike and disconnect battery to reset radio.
otherwise even you turn off key, the radio keep playng
still same bug as previous version
i will return unit again
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
