Well I'm worried after reading the previous reviews. I did spray some anti corrosion material inside the housing where the spring is to try to preempt a breakage of the spring. Time will tell if that works. So far, I do like the fact that the mounts are designed to be out away from the rack so I can still put on my kuryakyn rack bag without interference from the flag pole. This was the main attraction of this setup for me (besides the folding feature).

One of my biggest complaints is that I can't angle the flag pole to match the angle of the antenna. The flag pole will be straight up 90 degrees or off at a greater angle than the antenna. Also it isn't a 6x9 flag, its a 4x8 or some odd thing. I'm not sure what I will do when it's time to replace the flag. Probably try to make an extension for the pole to fit a standard 6x9 flag.

I bought 2 of these adn after a month one of them broke while I was riding in 25 MPH wind gusts. The size of flag that it will accept is too small.

I'm ordering something else to replace this.

Bought this just over a year ago. Looked great at the time although it was an odd size and wouldn't take many standard sized flags.
beginning of this year, I folded the flag down (very carefully!!). I was extremely annoyed when the inner spring snapped and the interior showed extreme corrosion.
It just came apart in my hand.
No more Kuryakyn for me thanks!!

Had mine (flat style) just short of a year and no problems other than the flag does seem to be an odd size. Showing "wind-wear" and needs to be replaced and still looking for more selections (other than just Stars-n-Stripes) to go on the other pole. Always stays straight and tall. Lays down easy to go under bike cover.

So far, so good but have only about 500 miles on it and NONE of them at 75-80 mph. From reviews I did initially Loktite screws on installation. I will renew review after additional miles and opportunities to fail or not.

Couldn't select ZERO stars or I would have. Typical Kuryakyn low quality, high priced JUNK. Bought from Wingstuff in Jan while deployed - installed some time in Feb and they wouldn't stay vertical. Wingstuff was great and exchanged them and now a few months later I have the same problem - they go horizontal after riding to work at 75mph or so. Spend your money on something else!! Sent Kuryakyn a comment via their web site as I don't feel WingStuff should have to continue to replace t hem at THEIR expense...we'll see if that goes anywhere.

The look is great BUT, the teeth use to adjust the position is a little weak, and can be broken if you ride at speeds above 80mph often. So needless to say the one I have is broken. I'm not sure if I will buy another one or not.

This is a well built product BUT you cannot use standard 6"x9" flags. The flag that come with the pole are not very nice and they are of odd size so you cannot replace them with any others. I have also checked for a replacement flag and you can't find them anywhere. Nice product - POOR DESIGN.
