Dual USB Left Front Pocket Power Outlet

I have a 2004 GL1800A. If you have the aux connector connected for your stereo. This will connect to the switched power connector located inside the same boot.

Unlike the others, it took me about 30 mins to install this. But that counts running down to the hardware store to get the right size drill bit. I just got back from an all day ride in the country that fully drained my phone battery as the phone kept looking to find a tower while at the same time I was using the GPS. Batteries don't last long. I had bought this a few weeks ago but hadn't gotten around to installing it. It's in now and I won't have anymore issues with a dead phone. Very pleased.

Just got mine delivered and it came in a plastic bag without instructions. Installation was very easy and really didn't need instruction. I watched a video on installing 12V socket in left front pocket and followed that.

I installed it in my '12 in about 15 min. Unit works great. I went to big box hardware store and bought a 1 1/8 spade bit for $5.00 and was the perfect fit.

Easy install if you already have a plug in. If not you may be scratching your head. Hole is a bigger than the honda line socket I just took a file and rounded it out. My dremel broke.

This took less then 15 minutes to install. Mine did have instructions in the box, but it was very basic. If you haven't ever taken the trim off the edge of the faring before, this may set you back a few minutes.

With the 2013 the edge trim is a little different and you need to start at the top and gently pull towards you and up. Keep working down and then the bottom of the trim has two over center clips that need to pop out. I had to work a flat screw driver down behind it to get it to pop off.

The back of the compartment is center marked where to drill. The hole needs to be 1 1/8", so I used a 1" hole bit and dremil sanded it bigger.
