Can't beat the price!
when you factor in the shipping (unless free) it's not that great a deal. I use locally available (autozone) Mobil One Synthtic V Twin oil @7.99$ a quart. All my bikes have used this for many years. Also, Mobil synthtic hypoid gear oil for the rear transaxle too...good stuff.
Great price from WingStuff compared to stealership .... don't know I see much difference from the GN4 with shifting as others have commented, but each wing is unique. I always change oil around 4-5K, so when draining the old, still looks new.
My local stealership mechanic actually tried to down-sell me (a new one for me) the last time I bought there, telling me that all of his mechanics, several with wings, just run regular oil, but still a hot topic of debate.... perhaps I buy too much into the synthetic or partially-synthetic claimed attributes, but hey, guess its up to your personal views.
I have changed the oil on my GL1800 twice and the Honda dealer has change it once so far. My engine runs very clean, makes lots of power and doesn't leak or burn any oil. I have changed the oil with this brand every 3,000 miles since I bought it used. I didn't know the history of the bike when I bought is so I have changed it more often. I'll probably to to 5,000 miles as time goes on instead of the recommended 8,000 in the owners manual. Better price than at the dealership also. My son uses Amsoil in his ZX14 drag bike but I'll have to see if it is OK for the wing. I use the oil filters listed on the GL1800 section of WingStuff also. Great write ups in the review section on those also.
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
