I have had this now for 4 months and about 7,000 KM later they are still in place and still doing their job. I haven't had to readjust either of them even once.

I've traveled some really bad wet and through locust swarms and these definitely helped keeping the water and bugs from shooting up through the handlebars.

For the price, you cannot loose!

I was told that these did not fit the 2012 model. Not sure what the difference is but I addded them to my 2012 and they work just fine. Still in place after a month and significantly reduced the wind coming through the fork channel. Love them!

If installed correctly it won't interfere with slow speed handlebar turning and it does a great job keeping the wind and those bugs out. It definitely eliminates water spray blowing up in the rain and a reduction in road noise was immediately noticeable. It could be my imagination but it also seems to have reduced helmet buffeting due to the cockpit vacuum it creates.

The inside of the kidney should be around the handlebar - make sure the top part does not push against the handlebar as it will restrict lock-to-lock turning.

I have found by kneeling on the side next to the fairing and using both hands, one from the top and one from below, I was able to position it much better. It does take some effort to get your hand in from the bottom but if you keep your hand open and flat you should be able to reach the bottom of the foam. Otherwise get the wife to help out with her smaller hands.

I agree with glo-wing that a YouTube video would help fitting it in the correct spot.

I’m happy with the result and for the price you can’t go wrong. Definitely worth buying.

These do cut some of the noise level, & probally some air flow. BUT they also make slow speed steering stiff/heavy.. I pulled em back out because of that.
Maybe if foam wasn't as dense....

Installed in my 08 this morning. I wonder why no one has made a Utube vidio. It did take me 5 or 6 tries to finally figure the thing out. However I'm really glad I did. There was a differance in noise, and a slifht difference in air flow. I also noticed a difference in cock pit windage. I'm glad I finally got it right. Lastly, I sprayed silicon on both sides to lube them and reduce moisture in the area.

Love this!!! Perfect fit, easy install. Keeps cold air from blasting up during the winter, and hot air and bugs from getting to me in the summer. Great addition !

Must have. These block that unwanted wind and even helps keep that very hot wind from the road off you. Don't ask me how but it seems to help with side wind also
