After I had installed the EBC brand recently I thought they were good pads, stopping was good until I noticed my pedal was getting lower and lower. I then proceeded to take the pads out and look what was going on. Pads were worn uneven and thought that was excessive for the few miles I had riddened. I then proceeded to check complete brake system and found that all was good. In the future I will only put HONDA products in my bike. Bike is running fine with new pads and pedal height is back to normal. Please disregard my reviews on the EBC pads that I had given
Wow, what a difference these pads make to the stopping power of the bike. Last year I installed front & rear pads purchased off the Internet. I was very unhappy with the increased stopping distance. This year, just before our 7500 km trip to Wyoming, I ordered these OEM pads from Wingstuff & installed them. What a huge difference they made. I am never again using anything but OEM pads. Well worth the money. Thank you Wingstuff!
Ah. Some difference we got here. The bike stops on a dime now. Making bike ready for a vacation trip and wanted to make sure brakes are all serviced. I purchased the bike a couple of years ago, used. Decided it was time. These set of 3 brake pads made a difference. When I have my woman back there and brake really hard, I experience one of my favorite sensations. :-)
I noticed upon replacement, the old ones was aftermarket pads. These OEMs are so much sharper. I did cycle brake fluid too at the same time. That in combination I believe is a key thing. Also: Took wheels off. Took calipers off. Just to be able to pressure wash the calipers from inside out. No corrosion found, only a lot of sot or dirt, so looked like grand spanking new brake calipers after this clean-out. Installed back with new brake pads.
(You don't need to perform all these steps. You can actually just remove the pin that holds the pads, pry back the calipers carefully with a hard nylon flat rod between pads and disc, remove the pads and install the new pads).
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
