Riser

I just received my riser kit yesterday and installed it. One thing the instructions don't cover is if you have a navigation model. There are 4 square bolts that hold on the navigation display. Remove those after the dash removal and pull it out of your way. Pretty easy install after that.

I took it for a short scoot and seems to make a lot of difference. Going for a longer ride today. Well worth the money.

Should have done this long ago...

Putting these on sure changed the feel of the bike. I am 6'2" and have a Kurakyn/Mustang seat and I just feel like I have better control over the bike. Uturns on narrow two lanes are much easier, not sure why.
Yes, the plastic cover doesn't fit like before but Kurakyn supplied round covers to cover the rear handle bar bolts. Now I can see the fork caps. So you could trim the plastic piece or find longer bolts for it.
Makes it a little easier to adjust the cruise though.
The hardest part was reaching underneath to unplug the meter panel. I'm glad I did it...

2013 F6B

Just installed them on the new F6B; the plastic fork cover and the harness clamp that holds everything next to the steering head will have to be removed. The plastic cover because the bars are higher up from the bolting point, and the harness clamp because of the extra slack needed for the aft position of the bars.

PS: The washers are hiding in the plastic caps provided in the kit.

More comfortable ride with risers

Before installing the risers, my lower neck would get very stiff and uncomfortable. The risers installation has made rides much more comfortable and less painful. The installation went well, but could not get the fork cover re-installed, not a bad look and well worth the trade-off. Be sure to view and study all instruction and read reviews before attempting installation.

GoldWing GL 1800 Bar Risers

Recieved item ordered from USA to New Zealand in 2 1/2
weeks, Excellent service/shipping. I fitted the risers
in 2 hours with no problem. The fitting diagram supplied did not match the 2007 set up,re tweeter wiring and location (tweeters are located either side of the ignition key/switch).Only had to unplug one connection and the whole dash came off.The plastic
cover for top of forks could not be refitted in origonal position (due to risers)so refitted with double sided velcro,Did the job nicely.overall very pleased, and the difference in riding position was well worth the cost/fitting etc.Would highly Recommend
Cheers, juice471nz
