Stock lasted 5 years. This went bad after 16months

While this battery was not a difficult one to install, it did take a little figuring out how to get the terminals set right and once in it started the bike right up and cranked it over like a champ. I am giving it a 5 but do believe that the company should make it fit like a stock battery and give a little direction on its installation. Also, wanted to say that I ordered the battery on a Friday and it arrived on Monday great service.

Figured I'd wait to see how the battery performed after a couple of months... In stalled about 7 months ago and it's doing great. With the cable alignment issue... Either Alzheimer’s has onset with me at 45 or it just wasn’t that big of a deal. I seem to recall having to make some minor adjustments by following a previous members suggestion. (A very old posting here) See with a bit of preparation it was not that big of a fight to install.

This is my first Westco Battery, but it appears to be well made. It came with a full charge [I put a trickle on it before install and the charger went to float after about one minute]. There are two spacers shipped on the positive pole protector that I had to use between the battery and the battery cable on both the positive and negative terminals. Otherwise the battery cable connector hits on the top edge of the battery preventing proper mounting allignment. I have a 2007 Wing and otherwise the fit was like a glove. If the battery were to come with some minimal instruction on the use and placement of the spacers that would probably alleviate some of the confusion and frustration that I have read in other reviews.
It did take about 10 days to receive the battery but that's probably not bad since the battery was drop shipped from Westco and had to be shipped via ground. Not nearly as fast as Wingstuff normally gets parts to us.

It starts the wing really fast for that it is a 5 but installing it is a 3 they can and need to make it the same as the original one fits all is a bad idea
